When you wake up in the morning, do you find yourself running through all the things you need to do and accomplish that day? When you find this happening, ask yourself: how can I make this an enjoyable day? What can I do besides the “have to’s” that will make this day worth living? Furthermore ask: How can I make the things I have to do as enjoyable as possible?
Both wholesome, encouraging, and liberating mental states exist in us as well as states that are unwholesome, discouraging, and negative. Learn the art of encouraging the positive states so that you become more resilient in the face of difficulties, and so that negative states don’t define you or your days.
This day is not disposable. Make it worth living.
